Cheng Yaojin (Chinese: 程咬金, Chéng yǎo jīn) is an antagonist in the To Be Hero X donghua series' first arc, and a minor character in its eighth and ninth arcs. He is Lin Ling's former boss, who fired him at the start of the series, and is later made into a villain by The Spotlight Organization after the TREEMAN Corporation refused to pay him for his services.
Appearance[]
Cheng Yaojin is a middle aged old man with black hair and male pattern baldness, he wears a dark blue business suit.
In his battle armor made by the Spotlight Organization, he wears fear amplifiers and armor with a helmet that resembles a toad.
Personality[]
Cheng Yaojin takes his work very seriously, however he feels as if TREEMAN's constant revisions to his businesses work have been too overwhelming. He does not take responsibility for his mistakes as he refused to admit his error when Lin Ling published an ad as per his request, and fired him instead. He also calls Lin Ling a delusional for believing anyone can become a hero, specially him because he didn't have any special powers or abilities, saying that is a "stupid little dream".
When it comes to dealing with his contractors, Cheng has a more docile and pleaser attitude. During a photo shoot, he is seen trying to calm down Miss J when she gets angry with Mr. Wang, the photographer, when he scolds Nice due to having a forced smile, claiming that he was the best from the market and wasn't easy to book a time slot with him, and later takes him away along with Miss J when Shang De enters the room to talk to Nice to prevent a possible argument between them, suggesting to the photographer to have a break eating some snacks he had previously prepared.

He helps her cool down her anger time to time, such as when she got angry at Mr. Wang.
They also have complimenting natures as employees of a higher boss, the similarities visible when Miss J's superior, Shang De himself enters with the intentions of talking to Nice alone and makes her a relative subordinate now too along with Yaojin, as they take Mr. Wang away from the room together to prevent a possible argument between them, suggesting to the photographer to have a break eating some snacks he had previously prepared.

Fear Value and Fear Amplifying Suit:
- As a villain using Spotlight's fear amplifiers along with his own fear value, he is able to make inky black structures with his arms that can form into envelope shaped projectiles, or a blade slash.
- His armor can also produce a red laser blast from his chest.
